Randy Orton has told Ronda Rousey she has got a lot to prove to be considered an elite performer in WWE. The Viper is a 13-time world champion and one of the greatest performers in the history of the wrestling.
He has now been joined in the company by UFC icon Rousey, who made her bow at last month’s Royal Rumble. Her switch from the octagon to the ring has captured media attention all around the planet.
But Orton told TMZ Sports that she will not just be able to rely on her reputation. He said: “She has a good chance of being one of the top female wrestlers eventually.
But she’s got a long way to go.” Rousey shocked fans when she emerged from back at the end of the first-ever women’s Rumble match.
And she made her intention to compete at WrestleMania in April clear as she confronted winner Asuka and the company’s two female champs Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair.
Following her debut, Rousey confirmed to ESPN that she was joining WWE on a full-time basis.
She said: “This is my life now. First priority on my timeline for the next several years.
“This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt. “When I first met with Triple H, I told him, ‘There are other things I can do with my time that’ll make way more money, but I won’t enjoy nearly as much.'”
